The first thing you notice when you arrive at the stunning new Liptov Lodge is the stone and the woodwork. The lodge has been recently knocked and rebuilt as a labour of love by the owners and the results are impressive. The three story lodge has maintained some features from the original build and has a rustic charm married to all of the necessities of a modern Ski Lodge.
The location is a 2 minute walk to the Ski bus which brings you to the superb Jasna ski resort. Here you will find a modern lift network and vast enough slopes to cater for boarders and skiers of all levels. Visitors will be pleasantly surprised by the competitive food and drink prices on the mountain when compared to more notorious locations in Europe.
I went with a group of 10 and the lodge was the perfect residence, rooms were ideal, comfortable beds and a powerful shower but the breakfast/living room/bar was the highlight.
Andy and Ida have a fully stocked bar with draft beer to write home about. The hosts were charming company and happily filled us in on the efforts to create a lodge that had real character and warmth. They were generous with their time and had all of our equipment needs catered for on our arrival.
Overall I can't recommend the resort and in particular the Liptov Lodge enough. We have already resolved to make an annual trip of it.
